Experts of Tianneng Lithium Battery Were Invited Again and Talked About the Battery Safety on CCTV

Number Of Visitors : Release Time : Nov 09,2021

The safety of lithium batteries is a general concern of the whole society. On July 27, 2021, CCTV's Economic Information Network visited Tianneng's lithium battery intelligent chemical plant and invited Tianneng's lithium battery experts to talk about battery safety.

Ⅰ. The safety performance of lithium C cell batteries with low prices may be bad

The lithium battery is mainly composed of a battery cell and a BMS system. To ensure the battery's safety, the battery cell is designed with a safety valve. The BMS system is responsible for cutting off the circuit when the battery is short-circuited. To ensure safety, the shells of the lithium C cell batteries also need to undergo a vibration drop test and a high low-temperature impact test. The price of a qualified 48-volt lithium battery will generally be more than 700 yuan, and a lithium battery that is too low in price may lack the necessary safety guarantees.

Hao Yuliang, deputy general manager of Zhejiang Tianneng Shuifode Company, said, "There are several ways to use extremely low-cost lithium batteries because so far, many batteries can be disassembled and reprocessed, and the secondary battery is part of it. Its cost is extremely low. The second part, the production of lithium C cell batteries has extremely stringent requirements for the environment and equipment, and the investment in this part is very large. When there is no such equipment, there is no such environment. At that time, lithium batteries can also be produced. There is no way to guarantee the quality or safety of this type of lithium battery production, but its cost is low."

Ⅱ. Tianneng cooperates with French SAFT to grow the business of lithium C cell batteries

Under the national strategic goals of reducing carbon emissions, the Tianneng lithium battery has intensively cultivated its main business, unswervingly followed the path of green and circular development, and promoted the development of new materials, new processes, and new technologies. In the lithium battery sector, Tianneng integrates its advantages in technology, production, and markets, focuses on electric light vehicles, electric vehicles, and energy storage solutions, and develops, manufactures, and sells advanced lithium battery products for the Chinese and global markets. In 2019, Tianneng cooperated with SAFT, owned by French TotalEnergies to establish TIANNNEG LITHIUM-ION BATTERY, which further expanded the product competitiveness and market layout of lithium batteries, and made great contributions to the high-quality development of the national new energy industry.
